Patrick began his involvement as a volunteer during his time as a science teacher. While volunteering, he learned what more he could do for the rescue and subsequently took on a part time position governing facilities. After pursuing another position elsewhere, he returned to accept a full-time position with more responsibility in wider areas. He grew up in a military family which took him around the world and America itself, eventually settling in Kansas. Throughout schooling, he has always pursued an interest in the sciences, leading to his study of physics. Yet the love of animals has always been an ever present ideal for him. This leads to his love for the work we do and care of horses here at the rescue.
