Little Barlite

Lark

Pregnant and afraid, Little Barlite aka Lark was purchased by a kill buyer at an Emporia, KS production sale in September 2009 when the breeders decided to reduce their broodmare herd. When it was learned that she was slated for slaughter, a number of organizations came together to purchase her from the killer and rescue her from the terror of transport and the agony of the kill box. Though only 15 years old, Lark already has 12 registered foals on the ground. Lark was confirmed to be in foal to AQHA registered Buckskin stallion Able To Cheet and delivered Abbi on April 6, 2010. Abbi is her 13th baby. Lark is not expected to have been under saddle in the past and has had minimal handling. She is a substantial mare with great presence. Lark is easy to handle and will serve best as a companion.
