RMR Able to Hope
Abbi's dam, Little Barlite (a.k.a. Lark), was a throw-away-mare, largely unloved and ignored her entire life - good only for making babies. Lark's retirement consisted of a final breeding and then her lead rope was handed to a kill buyer in late August of 2009. But luckily for Lark, she was liberated from the killer through the efforts of a number of organizations that pulled together the resources and people needed to save her. Lark came to Rainbow Meadows where she completed her final pregnancy: Abbi was born on April 6, 2010. Her sire is Able to Cheet and she is AQHA registered. Abbi has proved to be a headstrong and smart filly, and the largest youngster ever to grace the pastures of Rainbow Meadows. She was adopted as a yearling to a loving forever home, but illness and financial difficulties led to her adopters choosing to return her to Rainbow Meadows after four years. Now back at the ranch, Abbi is being started slowly under saddle. She is still headstrong and confident requiring a competent handler.
