Lark’s Song
composed by Donna Jacot, Rainbow Meadows supporter
Have you
ever stopped and wondered
Just what they really see
These
little bits of Heaven
He’s entrusted to you and me?
The beauty
of a sunrise
Seen the first time through their eyes.
The joy of
their first high kick
After many many tries.
The wonder
of the morning dew
The
warmth of midday sun
The tender
touch of mama
When the day is all but done.
Have you
ever seen them while at play
Just suddenly stop and stare
At
something only they can see
Something you think isn’t there?
Perhaps
there really is someone -
Someone only they can see
That causes
them to race the wind
And
squeal as if with glee.
There are
angels all around us
And
could it really be
They’ve
come to check up on them
These babies here with me.
Just making
sure that they’re alright
These wee ones in our care.
Embracing
them with all His love
Enough for all to share.
So when a
young one’s dancing
Whether human, foal, or deer
Just stop
and smile and say a prayer
Be
thankful that’s He’s here.
