Welcome to the ranch

Welcome to Rainbow Meadows Ranch! Take a few minutes to tour the ranch and see our facilities for training and lessons. Don't forget to learn more about our equine rescue and retirement facility - Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement, Inc.

Rainbow Meadows Ranch is located on 240 rolling acres near Sedan, Kansas. Services at the ranch include horse and rider training, Centered Riding® instruction, conditioning for the distance horse and personal saddle fit using the Port Lewis Saddle Fit System.

The facilities

The ranch is still growing as we continue to establish more buildings, but it currently has a bunkhouse, garage and large pole barn. Future projects include a house and a machine shop.

The barn

The barn is a must for Rainbow Meadows' services, and features an indoor arena, tack room, feed room and office. It will soon include stalls for needed veterinary care.

Round pen

Our round pen serves as another essential item for our horse training activities.

The obstacle course

Training your horse to negotiate certain obstacles is essential for even the most relaxed of trail rides. It is also extremely valuable in enhancing your communications with your horse. Our obstacle course offers numerous representations of real-life situations you could encounter out on the trail or in a competitive ride.

The lake

The lake at Rainbow Meadows Ranch provides a scenic view and refreshing coolness for all our creatures.

The rescue paddocks

Several of the rescues at Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement, Inc. are in excellent physical condition and able to run with the ranch's personal herd. However, some require a more protected environment. Those horses find their home in our 5 acre paddocks where they have open pasture and protective run-in shelters.
