Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement, Inc.

Rainbow Meadows Ranch is home to Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement, Inc., established in 2005 as a safe haven for abused, neglected and abandoned horses. It also offers a location of retirement for our loyal equine friends where they can rest and relax until the end of their days.

All services provided by Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement, Inc. are funded entirely by gifts and donations. All contributions are tax deductible.

Riding Instruction

For beginning through intermediate riders

Through the application of numerous riding techniques, students learn safe handling, confidence, balance, and how to communicate effectively with the horse through appropriately applied aides.

Custom Saddle Fit Assessment

Comfort of the horse is paramount in its ability to perform to the highest potential. Often saddle fit can interfere with performance, cooperation and safety. Utilizing the Port Lewis Impression Pad and a knowledge of horse and rider biomechanics, we assess saddle fit and make corrections to create stability and comfort.

Distance Horse Conditioning

Distance and strength training combine to create a successful distance horse.  Your endurance or competitive trail horse will receive appropriate conditioning for long distance competitions.

Horse Burial

In many states and locales individuals can no longer bury their horse with the dignity it deserves, leaving only expensive cremation or rendering.  Here at Rainbow Meadows Ranch, your aging or chronically ill horse can be laid to rest in a peaceful valley, surrounded by whispering cedars. Services require advanced planning.
